Logistics is the cornerstone of trade, its efficiency directly impacts the effectiveness of import-export operations and, ultimately, customer trust. One of the highlights of the international «Baltic Grains & Oils Conference», which will take place in Riga on April 16-17, 2025, will be a visit to the Port of Riga.
Riga Freeport is a major port on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea, located at the intersection of key transit corridors connecting East-West and North-South.
The port tour for the participants of the «Baltic Grains & Oils Conference» will take place on the second day of the conference, April 17. The tour partner is Rīgas Universālais Termināls.
Guests of the event will have the opportunity to visit key facilities of the port, getting acquainted with its infrastructure and terminals for the transshipment of oilseeds and grain cargoes.
RIGA UNIVERSAL TERMINAL handles over 3 million tons of cargo annually. The terminal works with containers, bulk and general cargo, and provides sorting/maneuvering of train sets, as well as warehousing and storage of goods.
The tour will also include a visit to the Alpha Osta bulk cargo terminal - a specialized bulk terminal for transshipment of bulk cargoes with a capacity of 2.5 million tons per year.
Guests of the conference will have the chance to tour the terminal infrastructure and engage in discussions about potential cooperation opportunities.
