As of August 3, the common share of 1-4-grades wheat declined to 76% in the structure of harvested wheat so far in Russia, down compared to the previous week (76.8%) and to the same date of 2019 (79.9%), reported the Federal State-Funded Institution "Federal Centre of Quality and Safety Assurance for Grain and Grain products" on August 8.
The experts examined 9.4 mln tonnes of soft wheat (19.8% out of the total harvested volume as of reporting date) in 21 regions of Russia.
Particularly, the share of 2-grade wheat totaled 0.04 (0.03)%, share of 3-grade wheat – 33.1 (30.5%), 4-grade wheat – 42.9 (49.4%), and 5-grade wheat – 24 (19.7%). There was no 1-grade wheat in the total harvest (0.004% in 2019).
As to barley, the experts examined 1.2 mln tonnes (19.3%) of the grain in 15 regions. The share of 1-grade barley totaled 26.5 (29.1)%, 2-grade – 73.5 (70.9%).
“Moreover, the experts examined 139.2 thsd tonnes of rye in 6 regions. The common share of 1-3-grades rye totaled 89.9 (92.9)%", - was stated in the message.
