Farmers of Belarus plan to complete the harvesting campaign of grains and pulses (excluding corn, millet and buckwheat) in two weeks, declared the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Vladimir Grakun on August 8.
“The southern regions of Brest, Gomel and Grodno oblasts started the field works earlier, and they will complete the harvesting campaign by the end of the next week. Farmers of Vitebsk oblast harvested grains throughout one-third of the area, and they will need 12-14 days to complete the field works ”, - he said.
He added that as of August 8, Belarusian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout more than 1.3 mln ha or 60.9% of the planned areas. The production volumes reached 5.1 mln tonnes, with the average yield of 3.82 t/ha.
