According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Belarus, as of August 13 the harvest of grains and pulses (excluding corn, buckwheat and millet) in Belarus was completed on 1.68 mln ha or 76.5% of the total areas (2.196 mln ha). The harvest of grains reached 6.3665 mln tonnes with the average yield estimated at 37.9 qq/ha.
As of reporting date, the wheat was harvested on 540.8 thsd ha, which is 80.5% of the total harvesting areas (672.1 thsd ha). The production is estimated at 2.36 mln tonnes with the average yield at 43.6 qq/ha.
The harvesting of winter rye was completed on 303.4 thsd ha or 84% of the total areas (361.1 thsd ha) and the production amounted to 950.6 thsd with the yield at 31.3 qq/ha.
Barley harvest was carried out on 295.6 thsd ha or 74.7% of the total areas (359.6 thsd ha). The production of barley is estimated at 1.164 mln tonnes (39.4 qq/ha).
