As of August 17, Russian agrarians harvested grais and pulses throughout the areas of 24.7 mln ha (51.4% of the plan). The production volumes reached 82.8 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 33.6 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
“In particular, agrarians harvested 63 mln tonnes of wheat throughout 17.3 mln ha (58.8%), with the yield of 3.64 t/ha. Also, Russia harvested 13.7 mln tonnes of barley throughout 4.6 mln ha (53.8%), with the yield of 29.9 t/ha”, - was stated in the message.
Agrarians continued harvesting winter rapeseed, and as of August 17, the areas reached 332.7 thsd ha (25%). The production volumes reached 790.7 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 2.38 t/ha.
In addition, agrarians of Krasnodar Krai harvested 600.2 thsd tonnes of sugar beet throughout 13.9 thsd ha, with the yield of 43.15 t/ha.
Farmers of Russia planted winter crops throughout 255.9 thsd ha, or 1.4% of the forecast.
