Ukraine started harvesting soybean. As of September 3, farmers of 9 oblasts started the field works, informed the press-service of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.
Agrarians harvested soybean throughout 30.09 thsd ha or 2% of the plan. Production volumes reached 49.9 thsd tonnes with the yield of 1.66 t/ha.
Sunflower seed was harvested throughout 455.5 thsd ha or 7% of the plan. Production volumes reached 700 thsd tonnes with the yield of 1.54 t/ha.
Moreover, farmers harvested buckwheat throughout 27 thsd ha (34%). Output reached 35.75 thsd tonnes with the yield of 1.33 t/ha. Millet was harvested throughout 44.5 thsd ha (30%). Production volumes totaled 90.63 thsd tonnes.
