In 2023, the wheat harvest (winter and spring) in Kazakhstan amounted to 12.11 mln tonnes in weight after processing. This is 26% lower y-o-y, reports APK-Inform with reference to the final data of official statistics.
At the same time, the refractive index was 6.7%.
The gross harvest of this grain turned out to be lower, despite the increase in planting areas. According to updated data, wheat in Kazakhstan in 2023 was harvested from 13.12 mln ha (+2.5% by 2022), while the planting area totaled 13.76 mln ha (+6.8%).
