According to APK-Inform, during the past week, prices for sunflower seed meal on the Ukrainian export market increased owing to stronger demand in ports and an increase in shipment rates.
As of March 11, 2024, bid prices for sunflower meal are fixed at an average level of 170 USD/t on CPT-port basis, which is 5 USD/t higher week-on-week.
Besides, the weekly export of sunflower meal and cake increased by 3.3 times – up to 103,000 tonnes compared to the volume of shipment in the last week of February. In particular, the volume of transportation of meal by motor vehicles increased by 15% in the first week of March.
Trends in the fat and oil industry, both in the Black Sea region and globally, will be discussed at the VegOils&Meals Trade conference, which will be held on June 14 in Seville, Spain.
