Kazakhstan continues harvesting oilseeds, 2.4 mln hectares have been harvested, which is 83.1% of the harvested area. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the gross harvest of oilseeds is 2.7 mln tonnes with an average yield of 11 c/ha.
Harvesting of cereals and legumes in the country is 99.8% complete. The average yield is 16 c/ha, 26.6 mln tonnes of grain have been threshed.
As it is specified, in September-October this year 2.2 mln tonnes of grain of the new harvest were transported by rail, which is 42% more than in the same period last year. 1.8 mln tonnes were shipped for export (+48% to two months of 2023).
The Ministry of Agriculture noted that transports through Russia are without restrictions. Exports of Kazakh grain in the direction of Russia for two months amounted to 43 thousand tonnes, transit through Russia - 104 thousand tonnes.
There are active shipments of grain through Kazakhstan's port of Aktau in the direction of Iran, 249 thousand tonnes shipped in September-October.
Grain shipments to traditional markets in Central Asia increased by 36% year-on-year to 1.036 mln tonnes.
