The oilseed processing plant of one of Ukraine's largest agricultural holdings, "Kernel," located in western Ukraine, was damaged as a result of a drone attack carried out by Russia. This was reported by the company on the Warsaw Stock Exchange on August 7, according to Interfax-Ukraine.

"Operations at the facility have been halted, and the fire resulting from the attack has been extinguished. Fortunately, no one was injured in the attack," the company noted, adding that the extent of the damage is currently being assessed.

It is also specified that this is the largest plant of the company in western Ukraine.

To recall, the Starokostiantyniv oil extraction plant (OEP) in the Khmelnytskyi region was the first plant that the "Kernel" agricultural holding built in western Ukraine. It began operations in mid-April 2024 with the purchase of sunflower seeds and planned to experiment with processing soybeans and rapeseed.
