On April 9, President Donald Trump announced on his Truth Social page that the U.S. has raised import tariffs on all Chinese goods to 125%.

"Due to China's lack of respect for global markets, I am increasing the customs tariff on goods from China to 125%, effective immediately," he stated.

In a separate post, Trump also announced that the U.S. is suspending increased tariffs for more than 75 countries for 90 days, as these countries did not retaliate against U.S. tariffs. However, a 10% import duty will still apply to these countries.

"I have authorized a 90-day pause with a significantly reduced reciprocal tariff of 10% during this period, effective immediately," he wrote.

The specific countries affected by this decision have not yet been disclosed, but it does not include Canada and Mexico, for which increased tariffs were imposed earlier.
