In Petropavlovsk (North Kazakhstan) a new oil extraction plant of Maslo-Del LLP on processing of oilseeds has started working. It has already produced 10 thousand tonnes of unrefined sunflower oil, the press service of the Akimat of the region reported. KZT34 billion has been invested in the project.
The new enterprise can process up to 400 thousand tonnes of oilseeds per year. The products are sunflower, rapeseed and linseed oil, as well as high-protein feed additives - cake and meal.
It is planned to commission an extraction line in spring, and by the end of the year - the launch of a shop for deep processing of vegetable oil for the production of lecithin, which is in demand in the food industry.
"The enterprise buys raw materials from local agrarians, which emphasizes the high potential of the region. This year, as part of diversification, the sown areas of oilseeds have been increased by 85 thousand hectares, up to 760 thousand hectares,” noted Gauez Nurmukhambetov, akim of SKO.
Thanks to the new MPEZ the region fully provides processing of its own harvest. Last year, 780 thousand tonnes of oilseeds were harvested in SKR, while the total capacity of processing enterprises in the region is now 813 thousand tons per year.
