Russia has reinstated restrictions on the import of quarantine-regulated products from Kazakhstan - measures that had been in effect since October 2024 and were only lifted the day before. The decision was published on the official website of Rosselkhoznadzor.

According to the document, starting April 23 of this year, the import of wheat, flax, and lentils from Kazakhstan is prohibited. As before, the ban does not apply to transit shipments of these products, provided that Kazakhstan issues phytosanitary certificates specifically for the final destination country and that the grain is transshipped from railcars directly into the holds of vessels.

The document was signed by Deputy Head Yulia Schwabauskene on April 22, 2025.
