The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation expects the main projections of agricultural crops production to be reached, declared the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Djambulat Khautov on August 25.
He mentioned that the harvesting campaign is more than half completed and the grain production reached 90.7 mln tonnes so far. The harvesting campaign of rapeseed and sunflower seed is progressing ahead of schedule.
“Harvesting progress and yield are higher than the year ago. Some regions started the mass planting campaign. The Ministry expects that the seasonal field works to be carried out properly and the production forecasts to be reached”, - the First Deputy Minister emphasized.
At the same time, he said that the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts faced the low yield due to unfavorable weather.
