As of November 26, 132 mln tonnes of grain crops were harvested in the Russian Federation, which is 19.3 mln tonnes below last year's figure, Interfax reports citing operational data of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
As it is specified, the harvesting of grain crops on the specified date was carried out on 97.7% of the planned areas, the yield is also lower than last year - 28.2 c/ha against 31.6 c/ha.
Including wheat harvested 87.7 mln tonnes against 98.6 mln tonnes a year ago, yields fell to 29.8 c/ha from 32.7 c/ha respectively. Barley was harvested 17.9 mln tonnes against 22.8 mln tonnes a year ago, its yield decreased to 25.1 c/ha from 28.1 c/ha at the end of November last year. Corn harvested 12.9 mln tonnes against 14.3 mln tonnes at a yield of 52.5 c/ha (70.9 c/ha a year ago).
Among oilseeds sunflower harvested 17.2 mln tonnes against 17.9 mln tonnes a year ago, its yield fell to 16.7 c/ha from 17.8 c/ha last year. Soybeans were harvested 7.2 mln tonnes against 6.9 mln tonnes, yielding 17.3 c/ha against 19.9 c/ha respectively. Rapeseed harvest increased to 5 mln tonnes from 4.5 mln tonnes, its yield decreased to 18.4 c/ha from 20.5 c/ha.
