This year's crops ripening and harvesting in Ukraine began 2-3 weeks earlier than usual, according to Taras Vysotskyi, acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.
According to Mr. Vysotskyi, in 2024, Ukraine is expected to harvest about 21 mln tonnes of wheat, 5 mln tonnes of barley, and 4 mln tonnes of rapeseed.
"This is a good indicator. It is higher than the average for the last decade," he said, adding that early ripening had a slight impact on crop yields and gross harvest.
