Ukraine has harvested a record soybeans crop

According to the operational data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as of November 21, grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine were harvested from a total area of 10.772 mln hectares, which is 97% of the planned area (11.068 mln hectares). Gross grain harvest is estimated at 53.373 mln tonnes with an average yield of 49.5 c/ha.

As of November 23 last year, 55.053 mln tonnes of grain and leguminous crops were harvested from 10.235 mln hectares (94% of the forecast). The average yield on this date was estimated at 53.8 c/ha.

The final stage of harvesting of late grain crops continues, in particular:

  • corn - 23.623 mln tonnes from 3.69 mln ha (94% of the planned) at a yield of 64 c/ha;
  • buckwheat - 131.7 thousand tonnes from 88.1 thousand hectares (99%) with a yield of 15 c/ha;
  • millet - 161.33 thousand tonnes from 88.2 thousand hectares (97%) with a yield of 18.3 c/ha.

As for oilseed crops, the harvesting of sunflower and soybeans is nearing completion. The indicators as of this date are as follows:

- sunflower - 10.075 mln tonnes from 4.855 mln hectares (97% of the plan) with a yield of 20.8 c/ha;

- soybeans - 6.005 mln tonnes from 2.61 mln hectares (99%) with a yield of 23 c/ha.

It should be noted that the soybeans harvest in Ukraine for the first time reached the mark of 6 mln tonnes.

In addition, Ukraine is harvesting sugar beet, which as of November 21 was dug on 251.2 thousand hectares (97% of the planned), 11.96 mln tonnes with a yield of 476 c/ha.
