Ukraine and Poland hope to come to a common position this week, which will allow unblocking border checkpoints. aiming to facilitate the reopening of border checkpoints. Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister of Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov, expressed this expectation following a meeting with Poland's new Minister of Infrastructure, Dariusz Klimczak, in Warsaw the day before, as reported by the Ministry of Reconstruction's press service on December 21.

"We discussed several issues in the transport sector, with the main focus on unblocking the border. We presented key figures and analytical data on cargo transportation by Ukrainian and Polish carriers, demonstrating that the issues raised by the protesters do not actually exist. We delved into the arguments and position of the Polish side. It's crucial to arrive at a shared understanding of the figures and data concerning transportation and the market share held by both Ukrainian and Polish carriers," stated O. Kubrakov.

In addition, according to him, during the meeting, they discussed the issue of creating a separate electronic queue for empty trucks on the Yagodin-Dorogusk route.

"We offered it before – we did it. From Monday, registration in a separate queue began, but it is obviously impossible to see the impact of this decision because the border is completely blocked (only 3 trucks left Yagodin during the day)," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
