The market operators expect the trade in Kazakh barley to intensify by the end of June. It is reported by the weekly "APK-Inform Asia".
According to APK-Inform, the pricing in the main grains segment will depend on the demand of the top importers, as well as on the situation with logistics.
At the moment, China is actively demanding feed barley from Kazakhstan. However, the logistics factor and inconsistency of the shipment plans negatively affect the market.
APK-Inform specifies that last week the prices of Kazakh feed barley were fixed at 190-195 USD/t DAP-Alashankou. The supply prices were announced within 200 USD/t DAP-Alashankou.
According to the official statistics, in 8 months of 2023/24 MY Kazakhstan has already exported 863.7 thsd tonnes of barley (against 832.7 thsd tonnes in the same period last season). China remained the top importer of the grain, where the country shipped 652.4 thsd tonnes of Kazakh barley during the period (only 298.45 thsd tonnes in 8 months of last season).
