According to APK-Inform, the prices for crude sunflower oil in Ukrainian ports have been increasing since the beginning of September 2024. The trend is driven by the strong demand for the product amid the limited supply.
As of September 5, 2024, the demand prices for sunflower oil reached 930 USD/t CPT port, which is 10 USD/t higher than the prices announced at the end of August.
It should be noted that in August 2024, the exports of sunflower oil totaled only 227 thsd tonnes, down 48% compared to July, and the lowest monthly volume since June 2022.
