NIBULON has shipped the second batch of wheat to Egypt since the beginning of the season under an agreement with GASC, the company's press service has reported.
As it is specified, 63 thousand tonnes of grain were loaded on the vessel EDFU, belonging to the Egyptian state company National Navigation Company (NNC), at the anchorage PGM-2 of TTS Operator SRL (Constanza).
‘Thanks to the coordinated and professional work of the NIBULON fleet team and our strategic partners - TTS Company - the daily grain loading rate reached a record 18.2 thousand tonnes. This high productivity indicator is very important, because together with a stable cargo flow, it allows us to reduce delivery costs. As a result, it allows Danube Grain Corridor to compete with Great Odessa ports,’ said Sergey Kalkutin, Director of Logistics of the company.
He is also convinced that in conditions of war and permanent danger, having a full-fledged alternative logistics channel to deliver grain for export is ‘not an additional option, but a vital necessity, on which the food security of the world depends’.
