According to APK-Inform, this week the trend of rising prices for food wheat continues at Ukrainian ports.

The rise in prices is still being driven by farmers' cautious supply of wheat and their reluctance to lower prices, along with competition between traders and processors, especially for wheat with high-quality characteristics. Additionally, price growth is being fueled by the uncertain impact of weather conditions on winter crops, progress in spring sowing, and the outlook for upcoming harvests in key production areas like the US, South America, and the Black Sea region.

Thus, in the ports of Greater Odessa, the demand prices for food-grade wheat of the 3rd class have increased by 2-3 USD/ton and as of April 17, 2025, are being quoted in the range of 229-237 USD/ton CPT-port. At the same time, in the Danube ports, the increase in purchase prices was 1-2 USD/ton, with prices ranging from 229-235 USD/ton CPT-port.
