As of December 7, Ukraine harvested grains and pulses from a total area of 10.433 mln ha (96% of the forecast). With an average yield of 5.47 t/ha production reached 57.06 mln tonnes. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine based on the operational information on the progress of the harvesting campaign.
As of the reporting date, the harvesting of corn continued, which has already been threshed on 3.52 mln ha (87% of the forecast). Production reached 26.882 mln tonnes (7.64 t/ha).
Regarding the harvesting of oilseeds, as of December 7, sunflower seed was harvested from 5.014 mln ha (99%), and production amounted to 11.94 mln tonnes (yield – 2.38 t/ha). The soybean harvesting campaign was fully completed (1.804 mln ha). The production volumes totaled 4.78 mln tonnes with a yield of 2.65 t/ha.
In general, oilseed production is estimated at 20.723 mln tonne.
The harvesting of sugar beets is nearly completed – 11.94 mln tonnes were harvested from 244.6 thsd ha (99% of the forecast) with a yield of 47.3 t/ha.
