As of December 14, Ukraine harvested grains and pulses from a total area of 10.47 mln ha (96% of the forecast). Production volumes reached almost 57.57 mln tonnes at a yield of 5.5 t/ha. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine with reference to operational information on the progress of the harvesting campaign.
As specified, as of the reporting date, the harvesting of corn continued, which has already been threshed on 3.56 mln ha (88% of the forecast), of which 27.39 mln tonnes were harvested at a yield of 7.7 t/ha.
Regarding the harvesting of oilseeds, as of December 14, sunflower seed was threshed on 5.017 mln ha (99%), of which 11.96 mln tonnes of seeds were produced at a yield of 2.38 t/ha.
In general, the harvest of oilseeds in Ukraine is currently estimated at 20.74 mln tonnes.
In addition, the harvesting of sugar beets is practically completed – 11.8 mln tonnes were harvested from 247.5 thsd ha (99% of the forecast) with a yield of 47.7 t/ha.
