In January-December 2024, farms of all categories in the Republic of Uzbekistan produced 8.9 million tons of grain and leguminous crops, according to APK-Inform, citing preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
As noted, the production figures in previous years were:
2021 – 7,634.6 thousand tons;
2022 – 7,990.5 thousand tons;
2023 – 8,453.4 thousand tons.
Earlier, APK-Inform reported that grain production in Uzbekistan for the January–December 2024 period totaled 8.85 million tons (+4.8% to 2023).
According to USDA estimates, wheat, which accounts for the lion’s share of Uzbekistan’s total grain harvest, is expected to reach 6.7 million tons in the 2024/25 MY (+8% to the previous season).
