The harvest of corn in Kazakhstan in 2023 totaled about 1.19 mln tonnes in weight after finishing. This is 8.3% higher y-o-y, reports APK-Inform with reference to the final data of official statistics.
At the same time, according to updated data from the Bureau of National Statistics, the harvesting area of corn in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2023 increased by 1% compared to 2022 to 190.37 thsd ha.
The average yield of corn in Kazakhstan in 2023 was 6.25 t/ha (against 5.83 t/ha in 2022).
As APK-Inform reported, the government of Kazakhstan is developing measures to support domestic production, processing and sale of corn, including for export.
