In January-June of 2019, the production volumes of wheat and wheat-rye flour in Ukraine totaled 769 thsd tonnes, a decrease of 6% compared with the same period in 2018, declared the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on July 23.
In particular, in June 2019 Ukraine produced 114 thsd tonnes of the products, down 10% compared with the previous month of 2018, and down 0.3% compared with the figures in June 2018.
As for crude sunflower oil production, for 6 months of the current year Ukraine produced 2.92 mln tonnes of the product, up 13.9% compared with the same period last year, added the State Statistics Service.
In particular, in June 2019 the production of sunflower oil totaled 421 thsd tonnes, up 19.4% compared with June 2018, but down 18.6% compared with May 2019.
Also, in June 2019 Ukraine produced 12.2 thsd tonnes of margarines and edible fats, up 3.3% compared with the same month in 2018, and up 37.8% compared with May 2019.
